Successful test of decoding AAC-Files (2.0 & 5.1)

Hello everybody,

for years I was trying to get this AAC decoding feature working, I bought a DVD-Player (Nintaus) which was mentioned in a previous topic about decoding AAC music (didn`t worked with my Nintaus player).

But now I have recently successful tested the ability of the TAE9000ES v2.50 in decoding AAC-files (2.0 & 5.1) by using a network storage media player (Conceptronic CFULLHDMAi).

The audio settings of the player allow RAW output of the AAC-data...

Over many years now, I've been happy & contented with the performace of my e9000es preamp but I am contemplating on upgrading to another preamp or reciever (I will just use the preamp side on this & use my amps) that can decode the DTS & Dolby True HD with my PS3. I have just got a second TAN9000es now. Ive set both of my TAN's now in BTL mode. They system is working but there are a few issues:

1. I am having trouble connecting my REL strata sub in high level mode. I have a cable from rel with a black, red and yellow bare wires. red & black go on the RF + & - terminals and the yellow goes on the LF+ terminal. But im hearing music from the front and rear right

TAP9000ES bypass whine

Hi,
my TAP has developed a high pitched wine when the 5.1 bypass mode is activated. The 2 channel bypass mode buzzes.
I still hear this whine when the TAP is completely switched off.
There is no whine from either of the 5.1 inputs.
Any one know what could be causing this.
Also I would like mod the amp and add a balanced transformer o/p stage.

I'll be moving from Australia to Canada in a few months, and I'm trying to decide if I should take my TA-E9000ES & TA-P9000ES with me. If I do take them, then I'll have to deal with the 240V vs 120V situation.

Sell both units in Australia and hunt for second hand 120V units in Canada?
